Use Our Tips to Have a Smile-Healthy Spring Break

Posted .

As you enjoy your spring break, it’s very important to keep your smile in mind. Many people forget to care for their teeth and gums while they are on vacation, but our dentist, Dr. John Moreno, encourages you to avoid doing so. In fact, he encourages you to do everything you can to have a smile-healthy spring break. To do so, it’s best to do the following things:

-Pack your oral hygiene tools: Don’t forget to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss and mouthwash before you head out the door. These things will help you keep a strong and healthy smile while you’re on the road. Remember: If you’re traveling by plane, you can’t pack liquids that weigh more than 3.4 ounces.

-Clean your smile: You packed your toothbrush, toothpaste, floss and mouthrinse, so don’t forget to use them! Sometimes spring break can be quite busy, but that doesn’t mean you should forget to clean your smile. So, make sure to brush twice a day and floss and rinse daily.

-Wear a mouthguard: If you are planning on participating in high-contact activities on spring break, wear a mouthguard. The mouthguard can help you avoid oral injuries when you suffer a blow to the face.
