Brushing is a wonderful technique that can help you remove food particles and harmful bacteria from your smile. However, that’s only the case if you use the right oral hygiene tools. Fortunately, doing so isn’t as tricky as you might think.
First, purchase a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. When you’re ready, get the toothbrush bristles slightly wet by running them briefly under water.
The second thing to do is to hold your brush at a 45-degree angle to the gums and then gently move the brush back and forth. Use tooth-wide strokes as you do so. It’s important to clean the inner, outer, and top surfaces of each tooth. When you clean the insides, tilt the brush vertically and make several up-and-down vertical strokes.
After you’ve thoroughly scrubbed each tooth, you can also brush your tongue. Simply run the bristles over the tongue’s surface. Make sure you use long, vertical strokes and you clean the entire muscle, including the back and the tip. This will remove harmful bacteria from your tongue and freshen your breath.
