Advanced Teeth Whitening in San Clemente – Featuring Zoom!™ Whitening Technology
For the most advanced teeth whitening in San Clemente, make an appointment with Dr. E. John Moreno. We are pleased to feature the revolutionary Zoom!™ whitening system at our southern Orange County practice. Zoom!™ whitening is a simple, extremely effective procedure that can give you dramatically whiter teeth in about an hour. It is completely pain free and produces immediate, visually stunning results.

The procedure begins with the application of a 25% hydrogen peroxide gel to your teeth. Dr. Moreno then initiates the whitening process by exposing the gel to a special light that causes it to break down and penetrate your teeth. This deep penetration allows the gel to treat even the most persistent stains, including those caused by tobacco, coffee, tea, and soda. A five-minute fluoride treatment brings the procedure to a close. From beginning to end, Zoom!™ whitening requires about an hour of your time, and you will leave our office with a brighter, more attractive smile that can last for years.

If you are interested in receiving world renowned Zoom!™ whitening treatment right here in southern Orange County, please contact our cosmetic and biological dental practice today.

Invisalign® Technology in San Clemente
In addition to Zoom!™ teeth whitening, we proudly offer Invisalign® technology at our San Clemente practice. Invisalign® tooth aligners were designed to perform the work of traditional orthodontic appliances, essentially taking the place of awkward, often painful metal braces. Made of strong, invisible plastic, Invisalign® aligners are custom fitted to slide comfortably over your teeth, gently and steadily moving them into their ideal position. In accordance with our metal-free practice policy, Invisalign® technology allows us to treat errors in your bite without having to resort to wires and metal brackets. From both a biological and aesthetic perspective, Invisalign® is a clearly superior alternative to traditional metal braces.

Invisalign® tooth aligners are ideal for correcting bite and alignment errors in patients of all ages. To find out if you are a suitable candidate for Invisalign®, please contact our San Clemente dental office today.

Laser Dentistry in San Clemente
As a certified laser dentist, Dr. E. John Moreno can perform an extensive range of restorative and cosmetic dentistry procedures using lasers. From periodontal care to root canals, procedures that were once time consuming and sometimes painful have become quicker, more effective, and radically more comfortable for patients thanks to the evolution of laser dentistry. In many cases, laser procedures can even be performed without the need for anesthetic. And because laser surgery is non-invasive, you will recover more quickly and experience less post-operative pain and swelling. Even those patients who had resisted going to the dentist for years out of fear and anxiety have expressed their delight at how comfortable and pleasant laser technology has made the dental experience.

To learn more about how laser technology can benefit the health and appearance of your mouth, please contact our office in San Clemente today.

Laser ENAP in San Clemente
One of the most exciting breakthroughs in modern dentistry is the laser excisional new attachment procedure, or laser ENAP. This extraordinary technique allows Dr. Moreno to treat periodontal diseases such as gingivitis without having to remove original gum tissue. What this means to you is that you will be able to undergo complex gum surgery while still preserving the integrity of your mouth’s internal structure. The procedure is relatively painless and has proven successful in clinical trials thus far. Because laser ENAP is a non-invasive procedure, recovery time and bleeding are both minimal. You can look forward to healthier, stronger gums without Dr. Moreno having even to touch a scalpel.

Not everyone is an ideal candidate for laser ENAP. Upon diagnosis of gum disease, Dr. Moreno will thoroughly evaluate your condition and your medical history to determine if laser ENAP is a suitable option for you. He is one of the few dentists in California to be certified in the procedure.

To find out if laser ENAP is right for you, please contact our cosmetic and biological dentistry practice in southern Orange County to schedule a consultation.

Diagnodent
The powerful Diagnodent laser enables Dr. Moreno to detect and diagnose tooth decay in its earliest stages. Unlike traditional x-rays and other examination methods, the Diagnodent can accurately and dependably pinpoint areas of decay in crevices, cracks, and even beneath the surface of teeth. This is accomplished through the use of a wand that Dr. Moreno uses to scan the tooth into a computer. He then analyses the results to determine what, if any, treatment is necessary. By detecting decay before it has a chance to progress, Dr. Moreno is able to help his patients preserve their oral health and maintain the beauty of their smiles.

Digital X-Rays
Because he is committed to using only the safest, most biologically compatible materials and equipment, Dr. Moreno offers his patients the benefit of digital x-rays. Digital x-rays reduce the patient's exposure to radiation by up to 90%. Aside from being safer, digital x-rays are also more efficient than traditional x-rays. Using a small, wireless sensor that is inserted into your mouth, Dr. Moreno projects an immediate, crystal clear image onto a computer screen. This better allows Dr. Moreno to explain his diagnoses to patients, as well as to educate them about their treatment options and help them make more confident, informed decisions.

State-of-the-Art Electric Drills
Dr. Moreno only uses state-of-the-art, extremely quiet electric drills in his practice. Unlike air-driven drills, electric drills produce no vibrations and significantly less noise, which helps to take much of the intimidation out of the dental experience. As a result, the traditional "whine" of the dentist's drill is replaced by a gentle, relaxing hum.

Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a tiny, fiber-optic tool that allows Dr. Moreno to diagnose oral health problems more precisely and efficiently than was possible in the past. Dr. Moreno inserts the intraoral camera into the mouth, and pictures of the patient's teeth are immediately displayed on a computer screen. This technology allows Dr. Moreno to view the area beneath the surface of the tooth and, therefore, detect any potential problems in their earliest stages. Because the intraoral camera provides a clear, accurate picture of the patient's teeth, Dr. Moreno is more easily able to explain possible problems and treatment options. To learn more about this exciting technology, or any of the other advanced technologies offered at our practice, please contact Dr. E. John Moreno in San Clemente today.

Computer Imaging and Full Mouth Reconstruction
Perhaps the most challenging of all dental procedures, full mouth reconstruction is a process in which every tooth in your mouth is treated and restored. The primary goal of full mouth reconstruction is to help you achieve your ideal bite and to relieve pain in your jaw and facial muscles, as well as to give you a more aesthetically appealing smile. At the beginning of the procedure, Dr. Moreno uses advanced computer technology to identify your ideal bite and precisely gauge where your jaw should be positioned. He then uses this information to customize a set of porcelain crowns, one for each of your teeth. These crowns will be permanently bonded to your teeth, correcting your bite and covering any imperfections in color and shape. By the end of the process – which requires only a few hours to complete – your mouth will be entirely rehabilitated.

Full mouth reconstruction is only one of the extraordinary advances made possible by computer imaging. Dr. Moreno can use computer imaging in a wide range of procedures, from the creation of porcelain veneers to the crafting of dental implants. If you would like more information about how advanced computer technology can help to improve your oral health, please contact our cosmetic and biological dentistry practice today.
