Dental Implants in San Clemente
For many patients who are missing one or more of their original teeth, dental implants represent a superior alternative to removable bridges and dentures. A dental implant is an artificial tooth root that is placed permanently into your jaw and onto which Dr. Moreno securely attaches a natural looking artificial tooth. Made of strong porcelain, the artificial tooth looks, feels, and functions exactly like one of your natural teeth. These remarkably versatile implants can be used to support a single replacement tooth, a bridge, or even a full set of dentures. Indeed, for many denture wearers, dental implants have provided them with a freedom they thought they would never regain, allowing them to chew and speak with restored ease.
Dr. Moreno personally supervises the creation of your dental implants at our San Clemente office, ensuring that they will fit comfortably and appear completely natural. The procedure has proven highly and consistently successful, with most patients experiencing little or no pain. At the end of the process, you will have a significantly healthier mouth and a youthful, more attractive smile.
If you are missing one or more teeth and would like to learn more about dental implants or implant supported dentures, please contact our San Clemente dental office today.

Porcelain Veneers in San Clemente
In addition to dental implants, we are pleased to offer the option of porcelain veneers at our San Clemente practice to southern Orange County residents. Porcelain veneers are thin, extraordinarily strong shells that are bonded to the front of your teeth, masking stains and chips and closing gaps between teeth. Using advanced computer technology, we are able to customize the shape and color of your porcelain veneers to ensure that they are indistinguishable from your surrounding natural teeth. Durable and highly stain resistant, porcelain veneers will allow you to achieve a youthful, more appealing smile that can last for many years with proper maintenance.
If you live in or near southern Orange County and are interested in learning more about porcelain veneers, please contact our San Clemente dental practice today.

Porcelain Crowns in San Clemente
Also known as dental caps, porcelain crowns perform an aesthetic function similar to porcelain veneers; that is, they can dramatically improve the appearance of your teeth by covering imperfections in shape and color. However, unlike porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns surround the entire original tooth, making them an ideal treatment for teeth that are either cracked or at high risk of cracking. By reinforcing weaker teeth, porcelain crowns can effectively reduce and eliminate discomfort while also restoring beauty to your smile.
Both porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers can be used as part of a complete smile makeover. Contact our southern Orange County office today to schedule a consultation with one of our friendly, knowledgeable smile counselors.

Porcelain Bridges in San Clemente
Another popular option among patients who are missing one or more of their natural teeth is the porcelain dental bridge. A porcelain bridge occupies the space where your original teeth are missing. Completely natural looking, the bridge is composed of one or more artificial teeth supported by a porcelain crown at either end. Once it is determined that the bridge fits comfortably and matches the color and size of your existing teeth, it is fixed into place and cannot fall out or be removed by hand. As a result, you will be able to flash your new, more attractive smile with complete confidence and self-assurance.

Tooth Colored Fillings, Inlays, and Onlays
At the Center for Advanced and Biological Dentistry, we are committed to operating a completely mercury- and metal-free practice. Therefore, silver amalgam fillings are not offered as an option to our patients. Instead, we use only the highest quality tooth colored fillings, composed entirely of strong, non-toxic plastics. Not only are tooth colored fillings safer and more natural looking than silver amalgam fillings, they are also significantly more durable. Indeed, a small filling may never need to be replaced.
Also sometimes called “indirect” fillings, inlays and onlays perform a similar function to tooth colored fillings; however, they are crafted out of porcelain rather than plastic. Inlays are customized to fit inside a cavity, while onlays are customized to cover the top of a traumatized tooth. Like tooth colored fillings, they help you to preserve the structure and maintain the appearance of your original teeth.
If you would like more information about tooth colored fillings, inlays, or onlays, please contact our San Clemente dental office today.

Restorative Endodontics (Root Canals)
The evolution of laser technology has made it possible for Dr. Moreno to perform this much feared and misunderstood procedure without the need for dental drills or, in most cases, shots. Indeed, the root canal is among the safest and most relatively painless procedures in dentistry, with the use of the laser minimizing patient discomfort even further. At the beginning of the root canal, Dr. Moreno uses a laser to create a passage in the crown of the affected tooth, through which diseased dental pulp is then removed. Dr. Moreno then seals the tooth with a porcelain crown, thereby preserving the tooth and reducing pain. Because a laser is more gentle and precise than a traditional drill, post-operative swelling and mouth pain will be minimal. Indeed, you may be surprised at exactly how comfortable and convenient a root canal truly can be.
